As we had already announced, from 27 to 30 September 2023 we were present at the XXV International Conference on Industrial Heritage organized by INCUNA. There we were able to present our paper on Design of industrial heritage routes with artificial intelligence that got a very positive response from the assistants. It is a field in which we are actively working and in which we hope to present new products and publications in the future. We were pleased to see that our approach is in line with some of the other presentations such as those given by Graeme Gooday, Daniel Belteki or Giulia Formato. We also found José Manuel Lopes Cordeiro´s talk in the inaugural panel very interesting, as he made reference to how industrial heritage fits in with the objectives of sustainable development, which is also in sync with our points of view.
We would especially like to highlight the high quality and the great interest in the set of presentations in which we were present. Also the importance of the analysis of the new paradigms around the industrial heritage and its conservation, which was one of the main lines of work for this edition of the conferences. And the weight gained by the problems of some uses, such as tourism, which connect with the lines of work of our company, in the search for more sustainable and intelligent solutions that respect the cultural and social landscape of the environments. The importance of taking people into consideration in everything related to the memory and management of industrial heritage was also emphasized.
