The XXVI International Conference on Industrial Heritage was held in Gijón from 25 to 28 September 2024. Once again, the conference was a success in terms of attendance and the quality of the scientific papers presented. For us, it was an invaluable source of information on trends in industrial heritage management. Different business models and new research approaches were addressed. We would like to highlight some interesting proposals for research into the global casuistry of mining industrial heritage and the creation of a network on hydroelectric heritage. The latter is a very interesting topic that we believe has important business model variations to be explored. Our CTO participated in the conference with the paper Topic modelling applied to the characterisation of industrial mining landscapes.
